The Treasury Department has taken some extraordinary actions to help individuals and businesses ease the burden of filing their taxes.
In response to COVID-19 [coronavirus], President Trump directed Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin to extend the tax filing deadline from April 15th to July 15th This change will allow all taxpayers and businesses to have additional time to file and make payments without interest or penalties. This advisory is an update to the previously announced extension to those individuals or businesses that had to pay.
What about tax refunds?
